PVC plastic, free of phthalates –it is a plastic used for the production of galoshes and wellingtons, completely harmless in contact with human skin. The same type of plastic is used in medicine for manufacturing medical accessories (such as containers for blood or various hoses), in food industry, elements of furniture, cold stores and partitions between the rooms (curtains), various types of packaging (including blisters and small bags), toys (e.g.balls), office articles, book covers and artificial leathers for furniture covers. Shoes made of this plastic are completely water-resistant and watertight, durable and easy to maintain in cleanliness.

TR plastic, i.e. thermoplastic rubber – itis a plastic completely neutral in contact with human body. It is similar to natural rubber in respect of properties and advantages. A great advantage is a relatively low specific gravity and resistance to very low temperatures. The slip resistance is its additional advantage in winter conditions.

EVA plastic– it is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, a plastic with phenomenal properties. It is the lightest material used for the production of footwear. The weight of ready footwear is often three times lower than in case of similar footwear made of traditional materials (e.g. rubber). It has a foam structure which gives perfect heat-insulating and shock-absorbing properties. Such as the materials specified above it is completely neutral in contact with human body.

Polymer plastic (PUR),i.e. reactive polyurethane, is a two-component plastic which is used, after blending in appropriate proportion, for the production of footwear soles. Currently it is the most often applied plastic in footwear production. Its great advantage consists in the possibility to modify the specific gravity (density)which allows manufacturing the soles which are very light and simultaneously are characterized of high resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. It has also very good parameters in respect of energy absorption which has a positive influence on the protection of joints. Another valuable property of this plastic is the possibility to join the sole with the upperwithout the necessity to use glues.

OutDry®  membrane is a technologically advanced, specially designed material used in many branches of the economy, particularly in the leather and textile industry. membrane protects us from soaking our shoes. Thanks to its application shoes become waterproof and we can successfully use them when it rains or snows.A membrane protects us not only from what is outside, but also our own moisture (sweat) – and this is what we call breathability, i.e. transmission of vapor out of the material. Thanks to these properties our foot stays dry.

VIBRAM soles are characterized by good surface adhesion, shock absorption and high wear resistance. The solutions applied in them, such as self-cleaning grooves, rotating areas and anti-slip surfaces guarantee comfort and safety.

VIBRAM sole has more than 100 different types, intended for use in various weather and environment conditions. Individual sole models differ in basis weight and chemical composition, so to put it simply – different dose of ingredients present in rubber results in different sole hardness.

Hiking boots must be incredibly hard and resistant to deformations. What is very important is the stiffness of the sole (often confused with elasticity of fabric of which it is made). A sole used for mountain terrain should bend downwards when we tread on a step with our toes.

Thinsulate is a state-of-the-art thermal insulation material from 3M brand. It has high thermal insulation properties thanks to which the efficiency of maintaining heat inside a shoe is twice higher than in the use of thermal insulation materials from other manufacturers.

The effect has been achieved by using a specialist material in the structure which contains micro-fibers creating microscopic air spaces characterized by perfect thermal insulation properties and which are not subject to pressing during the use. Thinsulate proves effective also in high humidity. It is characterized by good hydrophobic properties – contrary to other materials, it absorbs only a small amount of humidity (up to 1%) without losing its thermal insulation properties.

Warm temperature, dryness, lack of perspiration, lightness, durability, water and moisture resistance, thinness and hypo-allergic properties – in short – comfort that every user of outdoor clothing, e.g. shoes, expects. The unique micro-fiber technology developed by 3m allowed to create the entire family of thermal insulation materials which meet the most demanding requirements of users in terms of optimal protection against cold.

The material allows to achieve less than 1% of water absorption with respect to own weight. This helps to keep the body warm and dry in unfavorable weather conditions.

The material is breathable which ensures proper heat balance regardless of the conditions of use and thereby, avoiding perspiration. By controlling body heat it gives comfort to the user whether at work or while resting.

The material is odorless and hypo-allergic, perfect for allergy sufferers. It has the ecological certificate Okotex Standard 100. Quality of the material is guaranteed by ISO-9002 certificate.

Cordura is a fabric of unique resistance to any weather conditions, which does not lose its perfect durability parameters, keeping them unaffected by wear and tear.

Cordura is made of polyamide fibers coated with a few polyurethane layers (usually from two to four). The outer side of the fabric is coated with a Teflon layer, by which its waterproofness as well as soil resistance have been increased. What is more the fabric, thanks to its internal structure, is very light, which us particularly important in large transport backpacks.

The material is generally used in production of tourist backpacks and trekking backpacks. Thanks to their durability it is used in the army and production of working shoes.

Air Comfort Plus type GRI PRO shoe inserts (pair)
a multi-layer shoe lining (insert) ensuring comfort of use. To ensure suitable thermal insulation EVA material has been used in the lining, while a special gel pad (PU) guarantees a perfect shock absorption (the so-called “ANTISHOCK effect”)

  1. A special moisture-absorbing material (microfiber)
  2. Latex with shape memory, absorbing shocks while walking
  3. White thermoformable felt with addition of a bio-component
  4. The body has been made of EVA material, which ensures feet stability
  5. A layer made of EVA material facilitating air flow
  6. Gel pad (PU) – a heel shock absorber (the so-called “ANTISHOCK effect”)

Demar Waterproof system is a modern solution thanks to which footwear is completely waterproof. Best quality waterproof leather (nubuck) was used in the boot-tops, and the inside of the footwear is made of waterproof and vapour permeable membrane. It is a polytetrafluoroethylene membrane (PTFE), laminated and reinforced with spacer fabric (polyamide), which is used as the lining. This combination is characterized by a very well hygienic parameters and durability.

Basic hygienic parameters of Demar Waterproof system:
•    water vapour permeability – not less than 2.0 mg/ cm²h   (tested acc. to PN-EN ISO 20344:2012),
•    water vapour coefficient – not less than 20 mg/cm² (tested acc. to PN-EN ISO 20344:2012),
•    watertightness – not less than 10 m 10 m H2O (tested acc. to PN-EN 20811:1997).
Basic durability parameters of Demar Waterproof system:
•    tear strength, not less than 15N (acc. to PN-EN ISO 4674-1 2005),
•    resistance to dry friction –  not less than up to 25 600 cycles,
•    resistance to wet friction – not less than 12800 cycles  (acc. to PN-EN ISO 20344:2012).
